«Happy Moments»
Happy moments. I wonder what a happy moment could be for me and for you? A split second that you'd love to capture in your own memory. A comforting feeling of shared contentment.
I traveled through Denmark and Sweden in my van in the summer of 2023. Along the way, I was able to experience a whole series of such moments. But what do all these experiences have in common?
FIKA. In Sweden, fika means taking a break from an activity to enjoy a pastry with family and friends. Traditionally, this pastry is cinnamon rolls. However, my enormous enthusiasm for sweets becomes completely irrelevant. I enjoy the slower pace of gathering, which provides time for mutual exchange, sharing stories, perceptions, emotions, and sometimes bad jokes.
I want to capture this moment of happiness and this feeling on my scarf for the Fidea competition.

Lower Unterwalden
Competition for the design of the 4Viertel facade
Immersing yourself in another world – who doesn’t love that?
Be part of a diverse community of underwater inhabitants in the lake next door, Lake Lucerne.
My artistic intervention “Unterem Unterwalden” invites you to look at your surroundings from a different perspective, like in Alice in Wonderland, and for a short or long moment, when you look out of your office window or stroll along the pedestrian zone, to dissolve your own humanity and be absorbed into an underwater world where duck and swan say goodnight to each other.

Concept and structural considerations
My concept was, on the one hand, to highlight and celebrate the biodiversity and diversity of this local body of water with the motif of a vibrant underwater world in Lake Lucerne. On the other hand, the narrative presentation of the underwater inhabitants lends the motif a playful and dreamy touch, creating a harmonious contrast to and complementing the industrial and urban surroundings. The pixelated, "Chrüzlistich" representation of the image allows for an abstract, calming world of color up close, while revealing the entire motif from a greater distance. This embroidery pattern also references the textile history of the Viscosi district.
It was important to me to respect and integrate the structural and surrounding conditions, so I opted for a facade painting that was easy to implement using the pixel grid of the "Chrüzlistich" method. I also made sure to design the facade attractively from the perspective of the pedestrian zone, the office, and the apartments, so that motifs such as a fish or swan would be clearly visible at every level or height. For the background or water color, I chose a calm sea green, which also has a pleasant, flat effect when viewed from an office window.
