HELLO YOU!

My name is Nina Ronja Bundi and I have 23 years of life experience.

Since childhood, I've had a fascination with creativity and handcrafting. All my bags were always filled with collectibles, some of which I transformed into small projects. However, if you were to ask my family's perspective, they'd describe it as an extraordinarily chaotic collection of scrap paper, fabric, and stones. My grandmother and my neighbor, however, brought a bit more structure and taught me the basics of knitting, crocheting, and sewing.

I grew up with medicine at the dining table and, after completing my regular schooling, completed an apprenticeship as a podiatrist (Federal Certificate of Education). I enjoyed the precise, fine-motor work, but increasingly missed the creative element. So I launched my own label and became increasingly involved with various textile projects.

After completing my vocational baccalaureate in Health and Social Services in Winterthur, I had already decided to study textile design. To gain even more experience in the design field, I first completed the preparatory course at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHDK) and then applied to HSLU. I have been studying textile design at HSLU since September 2023.

I draw inspiration from my everyday life and my travels. I move attentively through my surroundings and connect impressions from various areas of my life. I'm guided by the attitude that I can learn almost anything with the right YouTube tutorial. This creates a colorful interplay of a falling-apart van, DIY projects with duct tape and WD40, sometimes over-salted vegetarian recipes, desserts with relatively too much whipped cream, (expressive) dance, and meditation.
